10/22 update!! My hair is so beautiful!
I barely talk about my hair regimen or brag about any products but this was definitely brag worthy. I walked into my local rite-aid and with $5 on my unemployment card, I knew that Ogx was out of the question. So, I panicked. I needed to get this hair right for my best friend's Lee baby shower on Saturday so I walked up and down pacing an then the price of $4 jumped out to me. With tax,it was just in my budget. I merrily walked my ass home and prepared for the worst.
I hadn't read the ingredients before buying it, purposely. I knew if I saw one -cone I would put that shit back down so fast. This is my 3rd year of being natural and since my hair has grown back I'm a bit more liberal about the stuff I will try and the money I'm willing to spend.
I reached home and it began. I rinsed the adore blue out of my hair, saturated it with the L'oreal straightening conditioner. It smelled a little spicy(think oregano seasoning) and there was a slight tingle in the back of my head but honestly I wasn't concerned. I left it in for about 20 minutes and detangled with my regular products as usual. Instead of making my hair curl up, I noticed it made my hair lay flat as if I was using a gel.
Got damn. When I blew my hair out it was like magic. This shit is the bomb! I always loved the smell of the L'oreal conditioners in the hair dye packages and wished I could get that smell all the time. This was it. My hair smells delicious and it's super straight.
Today I ran the flat iron over my hair to curl it and roll it before I go to sleep. Not only was it super straight and shiny but it really looked like I just walked out of the salon. Simply incredible. The conditioner boasts that the straightening protection lasts for 48 hours.
